Travis comes to Christine and Company with almost 40 years of experience in Business and Real Estate.
Originally in corporate finance, Travis started his own commercial lending company in Oregon in 1994, which expanded two years later to include Real Estate brokerage services for commercial and investment properties. After 9/11, Travis started to re-think some things, and decided to close that business and move back home to the Puget Sound.
There, he was recruited to help run a start-up distribution company for a British parent, eventually becoming Controller and Operations Manager of North America.
But he missed Real Estate, and in 2014 he returned to it – first in bank-owned and receivership properties, including high-level liquidations of commercial developers.
In 2018 he made the switch to residential, and has never looked back.
“There is a big difference between a business property, which is looked at very much in terms of the numbers, and the personal and emotional investment that we make in our homes. I just found it much more rewarding to assist with one of the most important decisions that an individual, couple or family can make. And with my broader Real Estate background, I often bring an understanding of the numbers and issues that an agent with only a residential background can’t match.”
Travis’ family is originally from Vashon, though he now lives in Edmonds, where he is restoring a vintage wooden Tollycraft yacht.
